Invasive?

I learned another lesson from my garden.

I had planted a row of Orange Day Lilies about five years ago on the border of our yard. Well, they have multiplied so much now, that they have become invasive

These Lilies are beautiful when they bloom, which is only once a year from late June to August. Otherwise, they look unattractive for the rest of the growing season.

Concerning them being invasive; they do not believe in sharing their space with any other plant. To the contrary, they will take over where you plant them, unless you are willing to dig them up every year and divide them.

Now you may ask, "What have Day Lilies got to do with the lesson?"

Well, sometimes we allow plants in the garden of our hearts that appear lovely at first, but then they will eventually take over  The things of this life may appear inviting for a while, but when they take root, they will eventually take over. They can rule our lives so much that there will not be place for the plants of God's love, provision, and peace to grow

Once the plants of this life take over in our hearts, minds, and lives, there won't be place for the lovely plants that God desires to grow in our lives. God is not invasive!! He waits for us to invite Him into our hearts and lives. Once we invite Him in we must allow Him to remove(dig) out all the invasive things that have tried to rob us of a peaceful and fruitful life.
